Portofino by Night - Portofino Dry Gin

Portofino through the eyes of photographer Alejandro Chaskielberg

The Postcard

Portofino Dry Gin was honoured to have sponsored the participation of the talented photographer, Alejandro Chaskielberg at the PhMuseum Days photography festival, held in Bologna from 23 to 26 September. We invited him to visit and photograph Portofino, and to discover our magical botanical sanctuary.

The Garden

“When I arrived in Portofino I entered a long and mysterious stone tunnel to reach the sunny botanical gardens, which overlook the Mediterranean Sea. It was a very symbolic journey towards enlightenment for me and from that first moment I was astonished at what awaited me. I explored and photographed Portofino for several nights to capture the unique and charming atmosphere of the place and to create my vision of the town in its new colours.”
— Alejandro Chaskielberg

The Gallery

The mysterious access tunnel to the botanical sanctuary of Portofino Dry Gin: 21 bottles representing the 21 ingredients of the gin.

The Bottle

“Spending the majority of my time in Portofino, I know its landscape like the back of my hand. By creating these extraordinary photographs, Alejandro has presented a new facet of the town I could never have imagined.”

— Chris Egger

Creative Director of Portofino Dry Gin

The Storm

During his time in Portofino, Alejandro was fortunate enough to witness an impressive thunderstorm and managed to immortalise the powerful lightning bolts that struck the bay.
