To celebrate the summer holidays, we're sharing a guide to our top picks in Portofino. Some of our favourite addresses and activities to make the most of your time on the Riviera.
Winterose Wine Bar
Located at the end of Calata Marconi, our favourite enoteca is run by the lovely Manuelina. She'll introduce you to local products and exquisite wines, and her few tables on the quayside will allow you to enjoy a Portofino & Tonic accompanied by a selection of culinary delights, with a breathtaking view over the bay of Portofino - practically with your feet in the water.
Baia Cannone
Overlooked by some magnificent Ligurian palaces, this tiny public beach seems suspended in time. A dip in its turquoise waters will make you forget you're in Portofino for a moment. Tip: go early in the morning to enjoy the peace and quiet.
To get to the Portofino lighthouse
Follow the path from the village square up towards the Castello Brown and keep going through the hill (20-minute walk). Here you'll find a breathtaking terrace overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio, where you can enjoy an aperitivo to the sound of the waves and the seagulls.
DaV Mare at the Splendido Mare
Bagni Fiore
The beach of the Hotel Splendido is a heaven of peace. Situated a few hundred metres from Portofino in the magnificent bay of Paraggi, the turquoise waters and surrounding vegetation make its terrace overlooking the sea the perfect place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. Try the D-JOY cocktail made with Portofino Dry Gin by mixologist Vincenzo D'Amato for this perfect occasion.
Langosteria Paraggi
Also located in the bay of Paraggi, the famous seafood restaurant with its idyllic decor offers a perfectly curated menu and choice of cocktails. Their signature drink Love in Portofino, made with our gin, will give you a taste of the Italian dolce vita.
San Fruttuoso
The famous cove with its iconic monastery is our favourite escape off the beaten track. Easily accessible by sea, it's a perfect stopover for your daily boat trip. Here you'll find the delicious Da Laura restaurant under a pergola of lemon trees hidden in the narrow pathways behind the abbey.
